You will find useful resources, guidance, tips and ideas to help with spreading the word of child-first coaching wider.
As an advocate of child-first coaching, we want you to feel supported and confident to bring other people on the child-first coaching journey. In time, we hope this will help positive change take place with more coaches adopting a child-first approach.
The toolkit has been designed to support you in your role as a champion as well as offer resources you can use to do the role.
Play Their Way Champions: the role
Champions will spread the word of the child-first coaching movement. This can be done in many different ways, and some ideas are included in this toolkit. How you deliver the message might depend on the audience you are trying to influence. Therefore, the resources have been designed with two audience types in mind.
Clubs & Organisations
For example coaches within the club, parents/helpers, committee members, board members, funders and workforce.
Coaches & Coach Development Workforce
For example coaches, tutors, assessors, coach developers, coaches who support and develop other coaches.
Each of the audience types will be supported with semi-structured resources, support guides on how to use the toolkit and assets to enable you to tailor resources to meet their objectives and needs.
The resources have been designed to raise awareness of what child-first coaching is, and the impact of achieving this and educate people about what child-first coaching looks like at a practical level, and to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours to be able to embed this approach into coaching practice at all levels of coaching.

Every audience is different, every situation is different, this is why we have created a selection of resources for you to choose from. You know the audience so you are best placed to decide what activities will resonate with them.
