Our website visitors are a broad audience potentially including anyone who is interested in finding out about coaching children. We want to help as many of them as possible to nurture their coaching skills to help them become a child-first coach.

Research shows that even people with the highest literacy levels prefer easy to read content. They say it allows them to understand quicker.  That's why we try to make all our content easy to read, regardless of who it is specifically aimed at.

The 'Recite Me' Toolbar

We have added the 'Recite Me' web accessibility and language toolbar to make our website accessible and inclusive for as many people as possible.

The toolbar includes: 

  • text to speech functionality
  • fully customisable styling features
  • reading aids
  • a translation tool
  • 35 text to speech voices.

This is to help anyone with an impairment or disability, including those with conditions like sight loss or dyslexia, to access this website in a way that is appropriate and achievable.

With the capacity to translate our web content into over 100 different languages, it also ensures that we can meet the needs of anyone who doesn’t speak English as their first language.

Writing Style

We write in Plain English by using short sentences and straight-forward vocabulary.

Alternative text

We include meaningful alternative text for all images to describe them or their function. This is especially useful when listening through a screen reader and are generally only visible when the browser's automatic image loading feature is turned off.


We write all text links in a way that they makes sense when they are read out.


Given the nature of coaching, we recognise that PDF downloads can be a useful resource for our users. Sometimes there may be instances where PDFs are the most effective way to present certain types of information, such as worksheets or forms.

Text size

The text on our website has been styled so that you can easily change the text size using your browser settings.

Colour Contrast

Most of our text is a dark colour on a white background. Where we've put white text on a dark colour to highlight key points, we make the font large enough so that it is easy to read.

What We Are Working to Improve

We are also in the future aiming to make sure that transcripts or subtitles are available for our audio and video content.
