Boing started in 2013 with the vision of supporting children everywhere to have more fun being active. The way we have gone about doing this is by supporting coaches and practitioners so that they can create playful, active and inclusive spaces that build children’s physical literacy.

We provide resources, courses and online networking programmes to help develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in using the three pillars of play, child-centred coaching constraints led coaching and environment design to create those spaces.

To date we have worked with thousands of coaches and positively impacted the experience of ten of thousands of children.

Everything we do is research led, we have worked with multiple universities to ensure our programmes, courses and materials are supported by evidence. Moreover, a large amount of our core team are pioneering academics who ensure Boing is always being driven by the latest developments in the fields of play, coach development, physical literacy.

Why are you involved with Play Their Way?

Boing is involved in the CCC because of the alignment of our values, our shared commitment to collaboration and ultimately of the dedication we both share to support coaches to deliver playful and child-centred experiences for young people. We joined the CCC because we see its potential to fundamentally change the landscape forever through thinking big and acting collectively.

Our mission at Boing is to support coaches to be child-centred, but now as part of the CCC – and its strategic plan and influential and innovative partners - we feel we can help to bring about that change at scale in an exciting and sustainable way.

We’re very proud to be part of the CCC and excited for the future it is going to create. We have been working to put children’s voices and experiences at the heart of coaching for nearly a decade. And now, together with the brilliant organisations that make up the CCC we are sure we are going to develop a coaching landscape that gives every child the playful experiences of sport and physical activity that they deserve."
